Participants will learn how to re-create a master work of art in their own personal style. The course will focus on a new way of using color, mark-making (drawing with paint) and the use of the grid to find structure and depth in the composition of the rectangle. Participants will work from a printed copy of a master work each week. Some painting experience is recommended.

Elemental: Selections of the Landscape

Elemental features life’s essential elements- EARTH, AIR, and WATER- as expressed through the plein air landscape paintings of Tina Kraft and Cynthia Maronet, two Palm Beach County artists, who capture the beautiful Florida landscape we often take for granted.

Elemental invites the community to respond to the need to preserve our local ecology by taking part in a “reuse replication” of two selected paintings in the exhibition using Resource Depot materials (“broken bits”). The final community collaboration will be on display at the closing celebration of the exhibition.
